Michelle Murray – Resident General Manager
My name is Michelle Murray, and I am proud to serve as the Resident General Manager of Pup Town Resort – Payson.
As a lifelong Payson resident and mother of two sons, I understand the importance of family, trust, responsibility, and caring for what matters most. At Pup Town Resort, I know every dog who comes through our doors is a beloved member of someone’s family, and I take that responsibility to heart.
I began my journey at Pup Town Resort as a Kennel Tech, working hands-on with the dogs and learning the daily care, routines, safety needs, and personalities of the pups we serve. Through hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for animals, I quickly advanced through the ranks to become Resident General Manager.
My goal every day is to help create a safe, loving, clean, and comfortable environment where every dog feels secure, cared for, and loved. Whether a pup is here for Doggie Daycare or Overnight Boarding, I believe patience, compassion, attention, and gentle care make all the difference.
To continue growing professionally and provide the best care possible, I have completed the American Red Cross Cat & Dog First Aid Certification and Maddie’s University Shelter Management Fundamentals training.
I chose to pursue this additional education because the dogs in our care deserve the highest standard of safety and compassion. Their families deserve peace of mind knowing their pups are being watched over by people who truly care.
At Pup Town Resort, leadership matters. Training matters. Safety matters. But most of all, love and care matter — and I am honored to help bring that standard to life every day.

Bret DaCosta is an entrepreneur, business founder, and longtime Payson business owner with a passion for building creative, community-focused ventures.
As the founder of By The Bucket Restaurants, Bret helped grow a unique restaurant concept built around family-style meals, convenience, and memorable branding. After years in the restaurant business, Bret shifted his focus toward developing businesses that serve both people and pets in a more personal and meaningful way.
Today, Bret is the owner and president of Pup Town Resort – Payson, a dog boarding, daycare, and grooming facility dedicated to providing safe, loving, and comfortable care for the dogs of Rim Country. His vision for Pup Town Resort is simple: create a place where families can feel confident leaving their beloved pups, knowing they will be cared for with attention, kindness, cleanliness, and around-the-clock responsibility.
Bret is also deeply connected to Payson’s history and future. Through his work restoring historic properties and supporting local business development, he has shown a strong commitment to preserving Payson’s character while helping the community grow.
Driven by vision, persistence, and a belief in creating something meaningful, Bret continues to focus on projects that combine business, community, creativity, and care. Whether through food, historic restoration, pet care, or new ideas, his goal remains the same: to build businesses that people remember, trust, and value.
